Miss Joy has a strong background in mathematics, science, and environmental policy.  Her specific experience includes cost-benefit analysis, policy analysis, mathematical modeling, and data analysis.

Her honors thesis and Excel research evaluated the policy implications of the revised arsenic rule on the Tohono O’odham Nation through cost-benefit analysis and social impact analysis.  In addition, she analyzed well concentration data, performed a technology assessment, and researched Reservation geology.

During her internship with City Engineer Joe Mauro, she evaluated and interpreted site plans, determined project specifications, estimated design parameters for pumps and tanks, performed cost estimation, created bid packages, and developed project management schedules.

Miss Joy also competed in the 2003 WERC Environmental Contest in Las Cruces, New Mexico where she worked with technology review, bench scale design, and testing for a method for removing arsenic from groundwater.

At TRC Omni Environmental Corporation she has collected samples, worked on data analysis, database management and design and provided support in WASP 7.1 for the nutrient TMDLs in the non-tidal Passaic River watershed and the Raritan Watershed.  Additionally, she has aided with the preparation of quality assurance sampling plans.
